Chase removed very fast for me. They called on Thursday to tell me they were deleting, when I pulled my reports on Monday it had been deleted from all three reports.
Could someone PM me the information as well? I have two Chase CO accounts from 2007-ish. One is with a CA now and the other was settled about a year ago. I have just recently (within the last few weeks) started my journey into credit repair and would love to have a few wins right off the bat.

PM sent. Btw, be sure to read the sticky topic about your collection score, especially if you have any accounts with a CA that are close to being out of SOL.

Thanks for the PM. The larger Chase account if questionable on SOL. It should be over a year out of SOL, however, I believe my wife made payments on it for me after charge-off and it is reporting with last payment putting the SOL in May.
Right now Midland is claiming to own that debt.
The only thing I'm not sure about it what exactly people were emailing to get the deletions. A PFD request wouldn't work in my situation. I have the account mentioned above and also one that was settled.
Could someone give me some pointers on what to email for my situation? There are inaccuracies/discrepancies in my reports. Should I point those out and request that they fix the items or delete? And should I say that I never made or authorized payments after MM/YY since it was my wife who made them?
Midland I have plans to deal with after May just to be safe.

Thanks for the PM. The larger Chase account if questionable on SOL. It should be well out of SOL by DOFD, however, I believe my wife made payments on it for me after charge-off and it is reporting last payment putting the SOL out in May.

I did PFD even though I didn't really plan to PFD, but you could say something along the lines of wanting to know what you can do to make those accounts right, because you are getting ready to buy a house or something like that, or even ask for any information they have on your accounts. The worst they could say that you would have to pay X amount to settle up rather than an automatic deletion and then at least you would know whether or not it would work. I flat out offered to pay whatever they had written off in settlement and after she researched, she said the accounts were purged already and she was having them deleted off my credit reports. Mine were close to the same age as yours.
If you plan on laying low with Midland for now, just be sure you don't do any disputes with the CRAs in the meantime. I don't know if contacting Chase would tip them off, but the CRAs sure would.

This is what I did. My amount was just under 5k. I asked for account summary and a way to settle the account to get the account deleted and be cool with chase for future apps for credit and loan products. I also mentioned a bit about my situation at the time of the CO and how I am working to be much more credit worthy and want in with Chase.
It does not hurt to ask. All they can say is no. It felt to me that they will respond with an option beneficial to the consumer. However I was be prepared to make a deal if it came down to it.

SN: I don't know how much it will change my score as they were almost five years old and had a zero balance. Since I live in NY, TU and EQ had them falling off in a few months, but it looked like they were going to stick out the full seven years on EX.

Just curious was these accounts out of the SOL for suing when you wrote the letter and got the deletion? It looks like my last payment was in February so I am only out of SOL for a month.
Mine were past SOL, however a JDB got a default judgement against me back in the fall for one of my accounts that were deleted. My letter from Chase indicates that they never filed suit and that they would delete the TL's. I believe one was an old Providian --> WAMU --> Chase account.

Two baddies gone! Just wanted to follow up and say thanks for the advice. I sent my email Thursday afternoon (less than two business days) and just got the call saying they are submitting for deletion of both accounts!

I called back and she wanted more information about what the letter stated. Asked me to look around to see if I still have the letter (doubtful that I do) and gave me her fax number and said that she would be investigating the account. I hope this goes well for me.

This did not work for me but I think it is because of other issues regarding that settlement letter. They claim they did not send it. I did not keep it. I just hoping cashing it somehow didn't open up a can of worms somehow. Good luck to everyone else.
UPDATE...Chase called back today. They are deleting the TL

When I spoke to the lady at chase a couple weeks back I asked if I could apply now for chase credit products, and she told that she did not see any red flags in the system and to wait for reports to clear up and before applying.
Should I contact her again as she asked me to call her if I had any problems? I don't want this to come back with a vengence.
