I need some help. I just sent out WhyChat's HIPPA letter to some CA about 2 weeks ago due to some medical bills. Today I received replies from two of the four I sent saying that they are in compliance with all federal and state regulations and they have not violated HIPPA. What should I do now? Can anyone please help. I need to refinance my house soon.

The HIPAA letter program has several steps, without knowing exactly WHAT steps you have taken it is difficult to answer your question.

1st Opt out

2nd Get old addresses deleted ( if possible)

3rd Send each CRA ( Credit Reporting Agency) working from a REAL credit report directly from each CRA with an individual report ID # To order, visit annualcreditreport.com, or call 1-877-322-8228, this:

If you have not followed all of the above steps, and sent something to the reporting CAs that was NOT intended for them I can understand the response.

Thanx for the reply. I did opt out but how do I get my old adresses deleted? And I taught the HIPAA form was supposed to be sent to the collection agency. That's probably what I did wrong

after about 3 weeks I have managed to get my old addresses deleted from TU only. Should I still proceed with the 3rd step.
