Direct Loans. 'Nuff said, right?

Their new reporting nightmare is a hot mess, including having me with a $2 student loan. To top it off, I disputed a series of lates from 2005 on TU as the loan was supposed to have been in forebearance, but now it's also reporting that way on EX. 2 steps forward, 3 steps back.

Is there anything at all I can do to get those lates off? They finally sorted it out and got the forebearance in place, so it shows as "closed", but with a series of "OKs" after the lates before it did finally close. Can you DV Direct Loans? GW? I'm so tired of dealing with them right now; I can't even access my current account for anything with the stupid new website; thank heavens it IS in forebearance for now.

Hello,

I will respond to you.

Do you have proof of your forbearance that you submitted back in 2005? If you do, that's great and you can use that as proof to dispute. If not, that's okay too because you can contact your Lender/Servicer (or Direct Loan) and request all documentation that you submitted to them and hopefully they will have a copy of it and update your records for your credit profile.

Or you can just wait the seven years until the baddies fall off.

Best of luck to you.
