I spent about half an hour today changing some things to save money.

I visited my bank and changed my account status, saving me $9.95 monthly.

Emailed my insurance agent, and changed my policy slightly. I saved only $2 a month on that, but I actually have better coverage now.

I called a subscription service I really enjoy, but didn't want to pay $13 monthly anymore. They gave me an deal of $5.95 monthly from here on out if I'd keep the service. I want the service, so I was thrilled.

Not a bad haul for half an hour of time:) Total saved $219.00 a year.

That's good. I recently canceled Netfix (not worth it anymore. We were barely watching two movies a month), my YMCA membership (been doing exercise videos at home) and Vonage (just using cell phones now). Saved me $87 a month!!!!

Nice! It feels good to make those little changes for big results. It adds up:)

I never even thought of doing that, just taking some time to call all of my creditors to see how I can save money annually. You're right every penny counts. Love it. Thanks for the share.

A few months back I called Tmobile and they offered me a better plan saving $40 per month. My job offers another 15% savings on my monthly bill but I had to renew my contract. I called cable and switched to a basic plan saving $30 per month. Called the IRS to reduce my monthly payment on a payment agreement and they knocked off my interest due to good payment history. They later cotinued to show my full balance but I had the later showing the reduction, they are "investigating."

I did away with the TV and started reading books, didn't save there, $.01 plus $3.99 shipping on hardcovers at Amazon, but so many of the shows I watched I could care less about now since suspense in reading is better then watching. Saved $50 on TurboTax software by checking both E-Bay and Amazon daily. Bought Mach 3 instead of Fusion blades. Loads of ways to save. For my birthday I pig out.
