I got a letter from an attorney today saying that they are starting foreclosure proceedings on my house, and that the sale date, etc., would be in the "enclosed information". There wasn't any thing other than the letter in both the certified and the regular mail copy of the letter. So, I have no information on when this supposed sale is to take place. Aren't they required by law to give me that information? The letter said that we could cure the default within five days in advance of that sale, but without the date of the sale ... how would I know?

I'm not sure they've actually filed anything at this point, tbh. I would have expected a flood of letters from attorneys seeking to help us avoid FC, but nothing has arrived yet, and this letter is dated around the first of the week. Is there some way for me to find out if paperwork has actually been filed, and if so, when the FC would be finalized?

TIA.
