I still think the benefits on this card are in flux and personalized. I remember mentioning my buddy, who is one of those 30m with jp Morgan guys, was getting his ua lounge visits paid for and then offered an ua lounge membership back in march. Several of you tried to confirm and got no where. Fast forward a couple of months and it seems to be more of policy to do so and then not so much.
Your 100% correct. They gave me Delta Sky Club membership per my request due to my extensive traveling on Delta. I would like to see a better hotel alliance. Chase is partners with Marriott/Ritz/Hyatt and as of yet no benefits are being extended at those properties. The GHA Black Level has got me very nice upgrades and when they haven't been able to I've received from free breakfast to free stays. The downer is there are not many Omni properties to chose from and as such they are typically much more expensive them hilton, marriott, starwood. Although I haven't asked.
On another note you really need to call and ask because you never know who they know. On a whim I called them up and told them I was staying at Caesars Palace in Vegas and apparently they had enough juice with them to have my room upgraded and have 7 Stars/Diamond checkin (VIP) which was awesome.
By the way, the purchase protection program really sucks. I purchased a small camera which was left behind at a starbucks and called Palladium who told me it is definitely covered and that i had nothing to fear. I later get a call from some third party insurance company who took my information and said they will process it. Two weeks later I received a letter indicating that I needed to send a copy of a police report that had to be filed within 72 hours from the date of incident. Lame. When i first called it was not needed. Amex's program really puts this to shame. I dropped and totally killed a brand new iPad 3. When online filed a claim and the next day I had a statement credit for the entire purchase amount. No phone calls, No paperwork, No questions asked.
So the lesson learned here is to keep all large purchases on Amex. I usually just use my PD card for travel related expenses and service type purchases.

Weird. I had a really good experience with their purchase protection (called late nite on weekend and people were there). Lost my wallet and luckily the wallet itself was covered. Did the claim forms and credit showed up a week or so later. Can't remember how this compares to AMEX as been a long time since I did any claim, but I do seem to remember AMEX being a little bit easier.
me too. I also received a refund for a concert I could not attend (one of the perks; buy tickets with Pd and something happens, you get refunded) and free tickets to a different concert.

Hmm maybe I should inquire further about this.

How did you pull this off? Why would they refund you not going to a concert? This could come in handy if they will refund just for the heck of it.

Hedge, if you don't mind to shoot me a message, I've got a few benefits to add to your list.

It is a listed benefit in the packet of stuff that arrives with the card. If I remember, there are only certain instances that they will take them tickets back.

I didn't pull anything off. this is a stated benefit of the card; buy tickets for a show or concert and you can't make it you get refunded.

I wanted to take a moment to share my experience in the event it is helpful for someone else.
Background - Long file, near 800 credit score according to CreditSecure, Before these apps I had 2 AMEX personal and 1 AMEX biz card, and the Chase Hyatt card.
BOLD - Applied online, called the automated status the next day and it said I would be notified in writing so I called the business recon number and after a few questions I was approved, once I mentioned I was moving from AMEX to Chase and intended to cancel my business platinum card they seemed to really want to help me any way they could.
Palladium - Faxed in the application, and got a call the next day, they referenced my Bold application I was just approved for and my Hyatt card and again I told them I was moving from AMEX. The rep was very nice and asked if x credit line was sufficient, it was and I told her so. She approved me and said I would get the card in 3 business days.
Both times with the reps I got the impression if I wanted more credit they would have given it to me, but what they offered was more than enough for me, so I didn't see much benefit in pushing the envelope,
Overall I have been very impressed with Chase as compared to AMEX platinum customer service. A real person picks up the phone, I can understand them, and they seem to want to work with you if you need it. I intend to move most of my spend over to them and just keep one AMEX active to preserve my member date and hopefully start the clock over for future sign up bonuses on the cards I cancel if I ever move back to them.
I did ask the palladium rep about the difference between the card for JPM private bank clients and non bank clients, she said as far as she knew the only difference was that she didn't have to do a credit determination on private bank clients, she could issue them a credit line for up to 80% of their liquid assets with the bank. I thought this might be an interesting data point in case there were any billionaires with bad credit here crying themselves to sleep every night.

But here is the best feature of all. Instead of buying pounds (for carrying cash) from the exchangers which charge hefty fees I have went to an RBS atm and used my PD card with pin to pull out 100 pounds. Chase did not charge me a converting fee and the only fee I paid was an ATM fee which wasn't that much (about $2 usd),

Is this showing up as a purchase, or a cash advance (where the interest rate will start the day you withdraw money)?

I believe as a purchase because my separate cash advance credit limit has not moved while my available credit has.

Wow, that's awesome... Can you keep an eye on it? I'm going to be traveling soon, and this would be an amazing benefit if not counting as a cash advance.

say hello to the queen for me.
That appears to be the case. I won't know for sure until the transaction post which will probably be sometime tomorrow. Yes, I am here for the Diamond Jubilee and will be leaving on Wednesday morning for Amsterdam.

How did you go about and get a CLI. I am almost at my damn limit again and with the pound price being as high as it is I think I do need a CLI. My current statement doesn't close until the 7th and my payment isn't due until July 3rd.
