Faxed in my app late Friday pacific time.. Just checked the status number and it says paraphrased "application under review, 7-10 days in writing"..

Dunno.. Wish me luck

Sniper, good luck! If you dont mind me asking, what do your scores look like? Any previous cards with Chase? I want to apply, but I just got CSP, so I think I"ll wait 6 months to build some history with them. Please keep us informed of your status.

Here's my situ, I really have all the credit I need at this moment, util is a bit high at 40% but I wasn't intending to get new credit and choose to get some tangible things and do some stuff and it's all at 0%. My FICO's are just over 700.. This app is a hail marry before the door slam sealed.

I had some bumps and scrapes with Chase 5+ years ago, but I paid them every dime I owed them.

any news yet?

I faxed it in late Friday so the app was processed on Monday, I just called the PD line, still pending review, so I suppose no immediate news is good news

Sniper,

I suppose so. Please do keep me informed. I called 800-576-6209 to apply also, and they are closed for the holidays. She did kindly let me know that this card is designed for people of liquid net worth of 1million. She asked me if I wanted to proceed. I said yes. Someone from Private banking will call me on Tuesday. What did they talk about? How long was the interview?

Thanks, and good luck!

Got the same. And yes, a private banker called me back the next day, never spoke to him. Sounded like a stuck-up sleaze on the voicemail. However, I decided to take the back door. Downloaded the application and faxed it back to the 877 #. The next day I was approved. I have no Chase cards, and the ones I did have were closed two years ago by them, with a zero balance. I do have a 792 FICO score with a utilization rate of less than 2%. Total available credit 268,000, as reported to Transunion; not including charge cards.

I guess you really need a high FICO score.

My fico as of a Equifax pull by my car dealership the same day was only 748. I think they're looking for a mature, established credit profile.

If you don't mind my asking, what's the breakdown of your $268k of credit availability?

Have 24 active credit cards. Also have a few store charge cards. No other bills or accounts. Oldest account is 12 years.

Comp,

Thanks brother. I'm going to fill out and fax over on Tuesday. I heard they are closed for memorial day. May I ask how did you find out you were approved? I'm nervous, this CC is my dream card. (Amex Centurioun is probably never a possibility for me). Did you fax over any other docs? I'm thinking about faxing over a cover letter, copy of my brokerage account, last two paycheck stubs and maybe bank statements. Any thoughts?

Keep it on the down low. Never had to fax anything else but the application. Never received a call or e-mail from anyone either. The next day, I just called the automated application number to find out the status. For your reference, the number is 1-800-432-3117. It might be best to wait until Wednesday to fax it over. On Tuesday, they are going to have all the ones to deal with from the holiday.

I just bumped all INQs and want to add a card. It may be a wasted hit but I'm thinking I may pull the trigger and see what happens lol. Was planning on apping for CSP but this is so much cooler.

One would assume the 600.00 annual fee drives the average person away from the card. Over at FlyerTalk there have been a good amount who were declined, or had to cut other Chase credit card lines in order to get it. According to some, Chase may soon tighten the app process for the card, so you might as well get in while the offer is open to us through this loophole. Who knows when it will close. After all, if they are going to want to compete against the Centurion Card, they would eventually have to limit the amount of users to the Palladium Card. After all, it is supposed to be exclusive.

I looked over there and didn't see any (obviously didn't look hard enough). What seemed to be the primary criteria for denial?

When is the annual fee due? Is it auto debited from your account?

IIRC people have been declined, if not I just got the letter. Stated reason was high utilization, which is absolutely true (40% ish). I knew it was a hail mary.

BTW, there are some perks that have not been discussed in public here or on FT and are by request only. They are sub rosa for a reason since it seems to some extent the perks are customized to each cardholder's needs.

Care to share these perks that I do not yet know about? :')

Just found out I was approved. 15k limit, they pulled EXP which is my lowest score at around 730. I'm really excited, she told me that 15k is the lowest amount they approve for these days. I did not have to consolidate my other Chase accounts for this. I have 12.5k available in a CSP, I was ready to close this out. So my thought was then to move 5k from CSP to the Palladium to make it 20k, bu then I realized I won't be using the CSP as much, and having nearly 0% utilization on 12.5k will look much better than 0% utilization on 7.5k. Is my logic sound?

Thanks comptalk, sniper, hegemony and others on CB for your advice in attaining this card. Can't wait to receive it!
