I think they are looking for 760+ and a healthy income.
They've approved apps w/ scores less than 725 so having a good score is needed but a stellar score is not an absolute requirement. Its more about the applicants overall profile in my opinion.

I am pretty sure IRAs count as well...as long as they are managed by Chase. IRAs are out for me due to some tax constrainsts but they also wanted to talk about annuities and college funds for my family so I assume that IRAs would definitly count. Said that the private client is the most targeted segment right now...much more so than the ultra high worth crowd according to rep. Apparently Chase is opening private client "stores" all over the country. I am expecting that for people in this income range we will see some nice bidding action for our accounts. Keeping my eyes open for the best deals / service...
thanks for the info. I've read the chase is ramping-up its private client network. I local branch manager (not a PC rep) called me a month or so ago offering me $ and his time to open a chase checking account. He mentioned that he'd like to talk to me about IRAs, annuities, etc. I figured it was just a sales call. I don't need a 1099 for the $$ from opening a checking account. He seemed confused when I mentioned PC and the Pd credit card, but that PC folks regularly come to town and meet with clients and that he could arrange a meeting. I figured he did not know a lot about PC because the chase branches here are old Wachovia branches.
have you looked into CITIGold? I thought about going with Citi, but the Pd card experience has made me more interested in chase PC.
Im not a fan of Chase retail banking, but Private Client is a really good program. PC is better then Citigold or HSBC Premier because you get more benefits. PC has a Relationship Manager, special underwriting department for PC clients, expanded lending guidelines, entree to JP Morgan Investments, lots of free banking services, and access to premium cards, including PD.

The entry point is $100K but you need to bring it up to $250K. IRA and other retirement accounts can be included.

I was told this card is only offered to Private Banking customers on the JP Morgan side which is different from Chase Private Client. The requirement for Private Banking is a minimum of $5 million in liquid investments.

If you look at the Chase Private Client website under "Lending" there is a section about the cards offered, including PD.As a PC client you have access to all Chase and JP Morgan cards.

Did you just ask them for an United Club membership, or did you say anything in specific?

Does UA lounge access include one free guest? or does the guest have to pay?

I had no problem reallocated limits into palladium. You probably first need to get the palladium card.I would trade every single CC i have for this and considering I've lived/traveled abroad for almost a years now.. I want.
I have 35k with Chase on 3 different cards and 0% utilized.. I wonder could they roll them all into the Palladium.

Has anyone confirmed whether or not they have reinstituted asset requirements or made it "invite" only again? Supposedly happened very recently
reports on FT suggest the barn door slammed shut after hegemony got loose.

I saw a few posts of people being approved by faxing in the application vs calling and applying. I pulled the app off the ft forum and faxed it in yesterday...no calls or anything yet. I did check the Chase status line and it says that the application is being reviewed and that I will receive info via mail in 7-10 days. Not sure that is good or bad as it seems to be the default Chase status... I have been having convos with the Private Client group about setting up an account so am hoping that might help... I will share back whether I am approved or not (most likely) and whether it was due to not being a PB client or my lack of extreme wealth / shadiness.

Can you no longer just call the number listed on the Chase website and get application that way?
Posted 09 May 2012 - 02:37 PM
From reading the ft thread it seems like there hasnt been a lot of success that way and the results are mainly stating that you must become a PB client to be considered...but...a few posters claim to have just faxed in the completed application and have been approved. Purely speculation / third party info but I thought it was worth a shot. My thought is that the card isnt really any better than my amex plat but that it will eventually become more exclusive...like the amex black...and will in the future offer better services... If it doesnt I can always cancel it...1336591355[/url]' post='4677600']

Well, I'm going to say the door's closed.
I called several of times over a few days last week and tried to get an application. Each time I was transferred to PB and the rep said PB was a requirement. I then downloaded a copy of the application from FT and faxed it in this morning. I got a call within about an hour from a private banker who said that they will not proccess an application for anyone who does not use private banking.

I faxed in an app last night at 5pm. Promptly it a call this morning asking some security questions. Had to remove the security freeze on EQ. They actually asked which bureau I wanted to unfreeze since I told them about having my reports froZen. The guy said that he would recommend an approval, starting line would be $15,000 and that I would get the card on Monday. I'm not celebrating just yet because I've seen worse. But once I get it on Monday/ see it on my online banking I'll start my happy dance.
