Got my free credit report but questions.

Hi, I have recently got my free credit report from canada credit checker

 

got a score return of 720. But I was wondering when I was applying for a Gold Amex from

 

I got a reply saying that I was declined due to bad credit

 

Anyone ever had this issue before?

The website listed in this post is most likely a phishing site, and if you have used it, please cancel the card you used, and follow ID theft procedures.

I'm very concerned about the legitimacy of this site and I have reason to believe this is a hidden spam post. If not I have concern for your identity Kitty.

 

 

 

 

They use the image for the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada http://www.fcac-acfc.gc.ca/ on their website, I find it hard to believe they share an affiliation with a government agency,

 

They ask for credit card details, social insurance details, drivers license etc and claim to be affiliated with Transunion and Equifax but I highly doubt that. They do not use SSL for submission of these details.

 

Their contact page only includes a feedback form. No address or phone number details.

 

I'd stay away from this site.

Their connection is not secure. Their who is info shows they are registered through GoDaddy and use anonymous registration.

Amazing people fall for this - it says "free" then collects credit card information. sigh.
