6/17/2011
Discover Business - $2,016 of $20,000
Citi Forward - $14 of $12,000
Citi Freedom Siggy - $305 of $10,000 (Limit does not report)
FICO 798

6/22/2011
Citi Forward - $14 of $12,000
Citi Freedom Siggy - $305 of $10,000 (Limit does not report)
FICO 810

So, I'm suspecting I'm being penalized 6 points for having a "high balance" on a NPSL Visa Siggy

Oh, my "high balance" on the Freedom Visa Siggy is $861

I've never heard of a Citi Freedom Card. Chase Freedom, yes, but not Citi. What're the bennies?

mea culpa, Chase Freedom. :blush2:

I was giving you the benefit of the doubt. :P

Thanks! :D

Even though Visa Signatures are not supposed to factor into utilization, my Chase Freedom reporting a balance dinged me this month.
I'll be more careful to make sure it's pre-paid in future. :)

My Sapphire has a $5k limit... I don't want a 25% balance to show up, but if Chase reports siggy's correctly then it shouldn't get used in UT calculations. But it probably is in your case. Perfect. Worst of both worlds :P

Well, except for keeping total CL's a secret I guess...

My $40k Chase CashPlus is my only non-Siggy Chase poking its head up. :)
Haven't adjusted that card since I'm still grandfathered in at 5% groceries and drugs. :D

My little girl just got notified that her CashPlus is being converted to a Chase Freedom. :(

I think the lesson is that 10% utilization demoted me to a particularly balance-sensitive bucket. :(

My Experian bucket must have stayed the same.
Got back the 3 points I lost due to 10% utilization, at 820 again.

Bob, awhile back you allowed many accounts to report a balance. How many points did you lose on that? Can't find the thread right now...

I let 2 dozen accounts report small balances.
Absolutely no change on myFICO ScoreWatch.

Didn't have PSECU at that time, so don't know if my Experian FICO took a hit.

But, 0 points lost for >20 accounts with teeny balances. :D

Yep, I remember that, and that's why I was shocked when you lost so many points, and thought maybe you'd been re-bucketed. :o

Yeah, I'm quite sure that 10% uitilization re-bucketed me, since I haven't gotten those 18 points back. :(

It could be worse...you could be slummin' it with me down in the FICO pits. I'm sure mine's got another 20 points to drop. Won't be pretty for a few months, but I added 6 figures. :P

My last spree barely affected my Equifax FICO.
I hope I haven't been re-bucketed into the 50 point drop group again. ;)

I always get HAMMERED in points lost in the second month of a new TL reporting, so that's why I'm feelin' pessimistic that this ain't the bottom for me. LOL

I did drop from 816 to 786 in my last spree in 2009
Took 6 months to claw back to 816.

Silver lining in Citi Forward erroneously reporting as a $0 balance is gaining 8 points going from 3 cards with a balance to 2.
I'm hoping when my Visa siggy reports $0 balance in the next few days, I'll recover completely to 816. :D
