Negative Credit Card Balance

Hi,

Does carrying a large negative balance on your credit card hurt your credit score?

No, but it probably doesn't help either. I'd imagine it might make scoring models just think it's $0.

Not necessarily. It will report as a 0 balance though.

I have two accounts that are about to report with negative balances.

Actually, my Paypal is about a $16 credit but it just reported the other day as $0. My Target is about a $3 credit and I'll find out what it shows after the end of the month.

I often have credit balances.
They report as a zero balance.

My PenFed Visa always has a negative balance when it reports due to the cashback rewards posting.
