A year or two ago I paid off some high balanced collections. Is there a way to get settled in full or paid in full accounts removed from my credit? I am guessing I am out of luck since they already have my money?

Check the transcripts listed in the stickys... I think it's transcript 3 maybe? It kind of says just keep pestering them until they give up.

Start by getting hard copy reports from all three CRA's. Using those reports, use the Jack Attack on this forum to dispute with each CRA.
