Hi Everyone,

I just discovered the forum and its exactly what i've been looking for!!!

I was hoping to get some suggestions about how to raise my credit score, as i've been struggling with my credit for a long time.

my scores are as follows

EQ = 602

TU = 698

 

the reason for the differences in the credit scores is because i have a backdated child support order that i DO pay every month! ($600/per month for 1 child). i have an arrears of $38,000 (child is in USA that i never knew about, order came from court in US and then got hit over the head with a 39 grand bill after 4 years that im trying to pay off)

the child support order reports only to EQ and thats the reason for the big decline in the score.

 

I did go the route of a secured cap 1 card. i have had it, and an HBC card for 3 years with never a late payment.

I dont know why the score doesnt move at all. even after 3 years of perfect credit with both cap 1 and HBC, the score has only gone up 20 points in 3 years! is it normal for it to move up so slowly? because i read others on here who have had the score jump up over night!

is there anywhere that would give a Big5 credit card with scores like this?

Like Handsome, i too am in desperate need of some new transportation and am trying to find out if anyone out there would give a loan with this score?

 

any suggestions? anything would help!
