I plan to do an app spree and try to get 2-3 business cards and want to know who I should apply with first. I have a solid 777 FICO (current) and squeaky clean credit file and am looking for 2-3 good sized credit limits, something in 15k plus range. Paydex is 80, LLC is 1.6yrs old but business is older about 3yrs.

Who do you recommend or who has approved you within the last 3-6 months.

Also, preferably someone who doesn't report to personal credit but that's ok if I have to.

Will PG.

Thanks

With those scores you should have no problem getting a 15 k line most likely from Citi or AMEX, it is based a 100% off of your personal credit which is very good.

Key Bank - You have to submit the application via phone but they do not report.

Chase Ink - Non-Reporting -

Barclay's Business Card - (Air Tran/US Airways) - no matter what amount they give you, call and ask the underwriter for a limit increase. Tell them you feel your credit is excellent and supports a larger limit.

Citi AT&T Universal Business -

PNC - They only lend in certain areas, so check their site to see if you're in their lending footprint.

Most of these banks don't like to see more than 2 inquiries in the last 6 months in order to approve you. When a bank sees that you have been searching for credit, they assume you're desperate and decline you.

Hope this helps...

Oops I never reported my results:

I got a 10k credit line from Barclays on their US Airways MC. I was denied, called and asked for a recon got 7500, asked for 10k while on the phone and the UW gave it. The denial was because a family memeber (mom) thought adding me as an auth user to her credit card which she then maxed out was going to help me. It showed up the day I applied! :) The automated UW denied me for having a maxed out card, the real live UW saw that it was authorized user and thus gave the approval.

I quickly got the auth user account removed! :) Thanks Mom!

Chase denied me probably for mom's credit card and refused to reconsider or update the credit report a week later.
