I cannot get it to work either... I paste in my equifax softs and I get this error message:

Soft Inquiries: 0 (Error found in oldest hard date; not processed)

I put in my oldest hard in the text box... but it still gave that error... I also tried doing it with nothing in that box.

Are you on an Apple by any chance?

No... On my desktop PC running Windows 7 64 bit and the latest IE.

Can you paste what you're copying into the main text box?

You don't have any soft inquiries that count towards B*.

Only certain monitoring services that pull your credit (through a soft) will assist with B*. There is a master thread you can search for which explains it further.

Ok thanks! I just didn't know if it was because I didn't have any or if there really was an error since it said "Error" :D

No, the "error" mentioned there only applies to the counting of how many you have remaining before B* will occur. Since you don't have any softs, it has nothing to calculate.

The counter has been updated to support both EQ and TU reports from the same page. Going to http://softcount.jdsdevelopment.com will take you to the new page (it used to default to EQ). Going to either of the old pages will take you to the new page as well.

Due to the way TU reports are formatted (and their lack of date information), the date of the oldest hard will not be processed on TU reports. You will be informed of this when you run it. EQ reports will function as normal.

The link in my sig has been updated as well.

According to the auto counter, you have 41 softs, three older than your last hard, and it detects C*

I've added support in the counter to show what softs count in the EQ reports. Unfortunately, this won't work for TU, but most people seem to have the most problems with EQ. Try it out and let me know what you think or if you have any problems, etc.

Thanks everyone for the feedback! I'm glad it will be helpful. One thing on my radar is listing the actual puller with the results (i.e. USAA, EC, etc).

Let me know if you think of anything else!

Hey jds, one small thing.

12/04/10
12/03/10

11/26/10
11/25/10

11/22/10
11/21/10
11/20/10
10/31/10
07/02/10

Everyone seems to have that one on the line by itself. It doesn't actually count. You can tell because if it did mine would be gone by now.

I'm not sure if there's an easy way to isolate that, but just thought I'd mention it.

I have a similar problem, but with 1 Fair Isaac and 1 Intersections.

FAIR ISAAC 10/11/10
FAIR ISAAC 01/21/10 < I have b* past this a long time. ago
ND-FAIR ISAAC 01/21/10

INTERSECTIONS 05/11/10 < There were others, but this one was left behind and remains stuck.

FAIR ISAAC (2):

INTERSECTIONS (1):

Also, I have VERY strong reason to believe that these need to be added to the counter. This isn't the only time I've seen them and then they're gone!

How do we know that the inquiries you guys are mentioning aren't just 'stuck'? Off the top of my head, I can't think of an easy way to isolate that, but I will work on it if we can confirm that it is actually an issue. I do know that sometimes certain inqs are just stuck.

Are you asking how it detects C* or simply what C* is?

There are some other threads that explain C* is detail..

I have (maybe) the same question as screeema. Mine says "possible c* detected" but I have the right amount of softs that I should have. I just started doing bumpage at the end of November and my softs have been climbing up every day. So, I know what choppage is but I'm curious what its looking at in the soft list to determine if c* is happening?

The program likely has a formula that looks for gaps in your (potential) daily pulls. So if something like EC shows 10/15, 11/15 and 12/15 instead of 12/1, 12/2, 12/3, 12/4, 12/5 etc., it throws out a message that you might have been chopped.
