Has anyone applied for a gas card recently and they only pulled D&B? I have applied for 3 different cards and seems like they all pulled Experian or both and we have a bad tradeline reporting on there we havent gotten cleared off yet. I have searched the forums but havent had much luck. Can anyone provide a link to a online app if they have one handy. Thank You

Wright Express is not overly easy to get, I would consider it harder than most of the other programs. Plus that nasty AF.

Wright Express doesn't even now what they are doing over there, at first they said I would have to put a deposit down to open a account and I never repsonded back and then a week later I got a letter saying I was approved and it was for $10,000 . Does that make any sense?

I received the opposite. I was approved for $5,000. 3 days later I received a letter stating I did not meet their qualifications. Funny thing is they contacted me with a pre-approval. WTF

.. And they said It doesn't matter whether you are LLC or regular Corp ...

Wright requires PG for LLCs regardless of how long you've been in business...

Personal Guaranty (see conditions below)

IMPORTANT: A Personal Guaranty is required if this account is for one of the following:

  • Company that has been incorporated less than 3 years
  • Partnership
  • Proprietorship
  • Professional Corporation or Association
  • Limited Liability Company

If a Personal Guaranty is required, the name provided below and billing contact provided on the previous page must be the same. Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required.

You can get past the PG requirement, if you have strong credit to compensate for the lack of age. I have an llc and was approved, for a net 7 account, and a $49 AF per card per year. Thanks, but no thanks.

You must have used a paper application then .. online no way to bypass it.

Paper is always a better option. Call, and get assigned to a rep and fax the app back to him/her. Cold apps have less of a success rate IMO.

When I did my app I left the PG section blank and before they even pulled the biz credit they sent it back and said it needs to be PG'd

Another example of why it is easier to get credit with a corp over a LLC

I received a flyer in the mail from Wright Express Fleet, I called the next day the rep sent me an email with the application I filled it out and sent it back via email, two hours later she sent me a vehicle and Employee form to fill out. No PG asked at all

Hmmm....I have several Fleetcor gas cards and my personal was not pulled. Granted my personal information was also not included with any app.

Fleetcor is pretty easy to get approved for, you just have to be careful on their application, it misleads you into providing a PG.

arco/bp and valero, both D&B, but make sure your D&B is in order with with some good lines and a paydex.

Either one is not something you want to apply for right away. I was approved for both about 6 months into the process.

Hmmm......it must be different for every company and who ever looks over your app. Arco was one of my first credit lines. I didn't know any better, I applied and was given $1000 CL

how long does it take Arco/BP and Valero to start showing up on your reports??

They report after 6 months of payment history. I had to fax in a request for them to report. They don't auto report.
