So on May 25 of this year I had a score of 648 on TU. I just pulled my TransUnion now and despite 2 hards in the last 60 days I'm at 773!!!!!!!! OMG! I knew it would be over 700, but I expected 720ish. Never did I dream 773!!! OMG OMG OMG!!! I'm in shock. :D I promise this weekend I'm going to spend some time finishing up writing my journey both through credit hell and through credit recovery, rebuilding and repair!!!

ETA: And now I've been deflated because EQ is showing my score as 627. It's saying I have a negative acct with lates, but I don't!!! My EQ report is 100% clean just like my TU report! Sigh.

Congratulations. What a wonderful feeling to see a score jump that high.

In my limited experience I found that TU had bigger fluctuations in my score. EQ seems to be more steady and not as steep. Okay, that probably didn't make sense. It's a little hard to explain what I mean, but I'll try---

When my TU was sitting in the 640s, it would flounder there with only tiny insignifant changes, but would never change to more than 650 and never less than 630. Then one day - BAM, it would jump to 690. Then it would flounder there for a while, never more than 700 but never less than 680. Then one day - BAM, it would jump to 740 and then, as expected, it would flounder around that mark for a while, never going higher than 750 and never going below 730. And then one day - BAM, it jumps to 788. And that's where I am today. I haven't checked it since my last BAM.

I honestly can't think of the precise time frame those BAM things would hit. I'm thinking 4-6 months. And not really a whole lot would change on my credit report between each BAM.

Whereas, EQ in my experience was a slow steady climb to where I am today.

Please don't think I'm trying to downplay your experience. I know you must feel good about it and I would never try to dampen your buzz. I'm just relaying my own personal experience with TU, that's all. Hopefully you're at 773 and will stick there until it goes even higher.

(note: BAM is not an acronym. Just simply BAM. Lke the sound it makes when I hit my head on the door frame when I get out of my girlfriends car.....every....damn....time....BAM)

Anyways, I would love to hear your financial recovery story Quasei2. If you find time, please post it.

Heh...it seems it's just you and I in this forum. Might just as well get comfortable eh?

Oh thanks for letting me know about the slower climb you experienced on EQ. Since my most recent correction was only a few weeks ago - and it was a HUGE correction - I'll wait 6 months and check it again. If mine follows your pattern then I'll expect a pop again when it simmers for a while. Given that I thought 720 was my likely score, I'm super excited for the 773. Looking through my report again I probably shouldn't have been so surprised because it's pretty shiny and glowy with goodness including a couple revolving and a few installment accounts all in good standing and/or closed/PIF. So on second look I figure 773 is probably nearly what it should be especially after 2 hard inq's.

Oh and I love the word BAM! I tend to use pop, but BAM is good too! ROFL

It surprises me that since there were several replies to the thread on the Credit forum, that there really aren't more Canadians chattering in here. So yes I agree, time to settle in and get cozy. LOL I've already scheduled some time in my weekend to write out my story. I've been meaning to write it out anyway. It's something I'm rather proud of digging out of and happily being on the other side now!

Thanks for the encouragement! It's definitely appreciated. It's hard to "celebrate" with RL folks since they seem to think I'm nuts feeling so excited about it. LOL Then again most of my friends have never been in dire straights financially before so it's all just hard for them to understand.

Still working on writing out my credit history story. It's far more emotional writing than I expected! As soon as it's done I'll post it. :cry2: It's just going to take a little longer than I had expected.
