So I disputed these accounts because I opened them before I was 18 and sent big letters to these collection agencies, and today I just recieved two letters from two collection agencies saying they are removing/erasing these collection accounts from all 3 credit reporting agencies (though it takes 30-90 days). So far i've been able to remove 7 collections because they were all opened when I was 16, or just disputing them and them not being able to verify the account so now after their removed I only have one collection which i'm just going to pay off.

The thing of it is i'm curious to know how far these collections will raise my credit score(s), the first collection is for $461.74 and is under the collection accounts seriously past due; (jefferson capital systems) collection account. The other is still under revolving credit accounts category but is listed as deragatory and a charge off and also shows no payment history listed (first premier card) in the amount of $364.

So my question is how much do you think this will probably increase my score currently my fako's are TU: 564 EX: 555 EQ: 556

thanks!

Hello,

I am on the same boat, I have a few ChargeOffs I want to delete because there were oppened before I was 18. What was your letter like that you sent to the creditors?? Did you send to collection agencies or direct to the creditor???

Thanks

I know it could be considered 'fraud' and I cried wolf but it truely wasn't a binding contract because I wasn't of legal age! I simply filled out a fraud alert affadavift put out fraud alerts on all my credit reports and printed out my credit reports, copied my drivers license and highlighted my dated of birth and the accounts on the credit report and the date opened showing it was before age 18 and highlighted the fraud alerts. And put my wallet was taken on such and such date when I was 16 years of age with my social security card and other revealing information so it couldn't even be considered a binding contract and I have absolutely no knowledge of such accounts.

Ive succesfully removed around 7 collections from my report 'claiming ID theft'. if you would like to know exactly how I will give you the links of the affadavift I used, then copied a 3 in 1 credit report (and active all 3 fraud alerts), copy your ID and make it clear of when you turned 18 and that the account opened date was before that date and a copy of your social security card along with it. (this is going to be a BIG envelope I had to pay like $3.50 US to send it because it was soo bulky. But print out the ftc's id theft affadavift packet (along with the cover page showing the laws) which can be found out here http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/microsites/idth...ers/defend.html, fill it out. (use a a seperate one for each account) and make up a reason like your wallet was stolen at one point. Make sure to highlight your fraud alerts on your credit report along with the account that was opened before age 18 and highlight the date it was opened, your date of birth highlighted on your state id or drivers license and print out a page specifically saying when you turned 18 and that the accounts were opened before that date of 18th bday and that legally not being an adult the contract is not legally binding and you have no knowledge of this account. And I sent them to what accounts still are showing up on my reports (so for me, I sent them to collection agencies and sometimes creditors if the creditors still are showing this on my report).

And also on your credit report when you click personal information where it shows your multiple addresses and variations it should show "Credit was established before age of 18 which may indicate fraudulent activity"

Goodluck as I said i've removed 7 or more collections with this technique if you have any questions PM ME! GOODLUCK

I called Experian today regarding the accounts that were listed on my report before i turned 18 and they said it is not common for people yo open credit while being under 18. The woman said they dont consider NOT being 18 a minor, i did not understand that. So someone who is under 18 can have a legally binding contract?
