#1 dont put an egg in a bowl with water in it.....It blows the darn thing up and blew the door open. I no longer have a microwave to use. :cry2:

 

The reason why I did it you ask. Well gas line being worked on and I wanted a hard boiled egg..... :rolleyes:

 

 

And why would it blow it up. Should it not have a fail safe thingy or something? I checked the fuses and everything..........It blew up

Whole eggs in the shell explode when microwaved. The book that comes with the oven will tell you that.

 

It doesn't matter if they are in water or not. The microwaves heat the inside of the egg faster than they do the water. Thus the egg overheats and explodes.

 

The oven can't tell what you're trying to cook. It couldn't "fail safe." Clearly it would be extremely expensive to have that feature.

 

Pretty impressive to blow the door off though. Too bad you didn't get it on video.

After it happened, I thought yeah, now I see what it exploded, but I just didnt think of that before I did it :rolleyes:

 

Didnt blew the door completely off, just blow the door open and throw egg and water all over :lol:
