:D I want ginger tea and haven't been able to find it. Is there such a thing?

water, 4 cups

2-inch piece of fresh ginger root

optional: honey and lemon slice

Peel the ginger root and slice it into thin slices. Bring the water to a boil in a saucepan. Once it is boiling, add the ginger. Cover it and reduce to a simmer for 15-20 minutes. Strain the tea. Add honey and lemon to taste.

Note: Keep in mind that if you are making ginger tea as a home remedy during cold and flu season, sweeteners are not recommended

I drink coffee and tea like no other, all year round

Specific to the season, I heart all of the Sbux seasonal drinks... eggnog, peppermint anything... Caramel Brule <_<

You can also grate up some Orange rind and boil it with the ginger. It's delicious. Got that tid bit off a random Chinese dude in the grocery store when I was buying some ginger for a fish recipe (I think I got from you or Hlburi!) :P

I'm gonna try it tonight! I looked all over the Farmer's Market yesterday and only found Ginber Milk Tea...and that just doesn't sound right!

I'm not much of a hot coffee drinker anymore, but during the Christmas season I love:

Coffee/Hot Choc:

Pumpkin Spice or Gingerbread Lattes..

I've never tried the Peppermint Mocha, but it sounds good. May have to give it a try.

Chai/spiced or peppermint teas (ditto the red hots PSP)

Mulled cider w/cinnamon stick..

ETA: alcoholic versions would consist of traditional eggnog w/rum or Rum n' Coke (traditional poker game played after turkey, usually the drink of choice among the players LOL)

I'll have to try some of the other recipes mentioned here ;)
