To continue to provide our customers with access to credit, we have had to adjust our pricing.

...purchases to 22.99%

December 29, 2009.

PLEASE DON'T DO ME ANY FAVORS

Who is this one?

CITIBANK

I am special because it is not 29.99%

Dont feel bad George, it happens to us all. The first time my APR got jacked was from Citi on my Shell Gas Card. I took it personaly and then i said to hell with it, business is business and my money can go to another acocunt. To date, only a $7 recurring charge for a auto program i dont use goes there.

That sucks, GEORGE. Though, it is business. And, it's happening to many customers. I believe all Macy's card, visas included carry a rate that high for every customer.

I PIF all the time too. though I've always prefered lower APRs on rewards cards if not out of principle alone. But times have changed, so the principle has too. Unfortunately...

29.99% of 0 is still 0 no harm done.

there ya go...trying to introduce common sense into the equation. Isn't that a violation of something?

Credit is no different than any other component of society...there are pendulum swings, and we are now seeing the swing back to the way things USED to be as recently as almost two decades ago.

Sorry to hear it, George. ccinsider warned us we'd all get hit.

I'm still waiting for mine. (Surely will come before February...)

I still like the card and will keep it and PIF.

I think what's most hilarious in all of this mess is that my god-awful subprime cards have better rates than most prime cards!

My Orchard cards are at 19.9% and 12.9%, the 12.9% card's AF is less than I receive in 2% cashback, and this year they waived it!

Subprime looks decidedly less so.

Of course, my limits are too low to actually make them useful, but we'll work on that...

Am I getting another whiff of BAIT

Why do I even bother to post here

EVERYTHING I SAY HAS TO BE DEBATED

I'm not debating, I agree with you. You've said for years to it's personal and to not close the card is letting them get away with it. As I've heard you tell so many other people, we can't let them get away with it.

I'm on your team and now you have a chance to stick it to them like you've helped so many others do. Get em Goerge! Who are they to insult you? This is personal, it's not business!

Sure you can. Most definitely. Especially if they may come across as sarcastic, which makes it all the more better. Even better to those who have also been placed on "ignore"... such as yourself.

Oh, make no mistake, it's definitely sarcasm. I just love it when someone gives advice that makes them sound like they've got the answers then when something happens to them they don't seem to remember their advice.

I also know George clicks on the "read this post" links..lol
