I called them 3 times tonight and got 3 different reps. All 3 were salamanders. After all the reading I did, all I heard was how much they push CreditBuilder and how negotiable the price is and my experience was totally different. All 3 said that the most they could give off is 10% and NONE of them wanted to help me. I asked what CreditBuilder will do for me, etc and they pretty much just wanted to get me off the phone.

I am willing to pay the money as I have some suppliers with large tradelines not reporting, however I can't get a helpful rep or at least one that will show me a tangible advantage to paying the $500.

Can anyone suggest a rep or give advice on how to get the price lower than $450?

Thanks,

-Josh

Josh this is my first post ..but i have lurking around this site for quite awhile!...my advice to you is to not purchse anything from dnb. I did bc i was talked into it by the sales reaps. and it made not ONE difference to my file, in fact it took me almost 3 months just to get a paydex even after i bought the creditbuilder and the monthly monitoring...so its not worth it at all...from what i have read here there are plenty of knowledgable and seasoned people that post here and give great guidance..also, it has been my experience with dnb that they all are sales people that seems to be their only goal when you talk to them. anyway this is just my experience with them..take it as you want..but for me it was a complete waste of money.

I am new to posting on this board but have a pretty good grasp in the business credit arena. I contacted D&B about 10 days about purchasing the Credit Builder program. I had a DUNS # but my vendors (Real Estate) were not reporting to D&B. I provided the rep 4 tradelines to verify at the time of order. 3 Tradelines were verified the same day and within 12 hours received a Paydex Score of 80. There is some talk on the boards about needing 5 tradelines to receive a Paydex but this is clearly not correct. The 4th creditor was verified the next day which now reflects 4 tradelines. I have learned this board has some intelligent business owners and also has several who bought the "Business Credit for Dummies" book. Not sure if the book exists but you get my point. If you have creditors who report to D&B the Credit Builder can be considered useless. If you have vendors who don't report but you have a good payment history with, I have realized the Credit Builder program is the only way to go. If you would like, I can forward you my sales rep's information. She isn't pushy and seems to have a pretty good understanding.

Today, I purchased the Premium product that allows for unlimited updates within a 6 month program. This was an additional $300 (Paid $399 for the Credit Builder) My dilemna to some of the intelligent posters out there, is the Premium product worth it, if you have 6 tradlelines reported and have 4 net 30's that will be reporting in the next 30 days. $300.00 seems a little high after paying $399.00 for the service.

LLC started in 2007. Paydex 80, 6 Tradelines reported.

I had 4 tradelines updated until yesterday, and now 6 are reflected. The rating is still blank, was told should update overnight. I probably foolishly provided financials to them that reflect a decent profit from 2008. I would think with 6 vendors reporting and financials, I should have a rating. Do you know when the rating will update?

I am about to purchase the package myself just to get the rating, I already have 12 tradelines reporting. I want to make sure that they will be able to generate a rating right away.

Wanted to let you know just received a rating from D&B. My rating came back at BA2 after providing financials. This is great news considering I started building my D&B file about 30 days ago. To others in the forum does does a BA2 help in securing larger lines of credit.

The reason I ask, is I was approved for 2 vehicle loans with Ford for $80k w/ no PG. Yet, Best Buy is telling me I need around 15 tl reporting to secure a $5k line of credit. As of now I have an 80 padex, 6 tradelines reported, avg tradeline is $15,500. The rating was just updated so I am curious to see if this will help.

D&B reflects a start date of 2005. LLC was started in 1/07. The underwriter from Best Buy stated it was not the time in business it was a lack of tradelines. I have 4-5 new ones getting ready to report to D&B and was told to reapply and everything should be good. Greywolf,,, do you think the 1/07 date could be my problem w/ Best Buy.

Strange. I was approved with 6-7 TLs, and lower TLs than you. Maybe the conflicting age scared them away?

I'd re-apply in 60 days and see what happens. Sometimes you just get an Underwriter in a bad mood.

The underwriter said he typically likes to see 15 payment experiences. I thought this was odd based on some of the comments about Best Buy. I am trying to get D&B to clarify they have verified the business started in 2005; either way in January it will be 3 years and things should be much better. I was a little shocked I could get 2 loans with Ford but had trouble with a small line of credit with Best Buy.
