Need Some advice on DMP or Something to help me

I currently have 19,000 in CC debt and 25,000 in a car loan. The CC interest rates are from 18 to 29 percent. Car Loan is at 8 percent. Current on all loans but that leaves me with virtually nothing after my other expenses are paid (food, shelter, utilities ect.). Have $5 (literally) in savings and not able to save with this and that and everything else coming up. Need a new water heater but can't afford it ... just a matter of time till it goes. Going into winter and need a new roof but definitely can't afford $3500 to have one put on. Roof sagging ... just hope it doesn't fall through. Living in mobile home worth maybe 12K. If roof gives out, looking at maybe becoming homeless.

 

I need to do something. Any ideas?

I can only go by my experience, but entering CCCS the amount I paid each month was pretty close to what I was paying on the CC debt. The benefit is that the interest rates were mostly knocked way down, so each payment really piled on to lowering the principle amount. That being said, it may not be a way to increase your savings in the present.

Us too. The DMP that we are looking at doesn't lower our monthly significantly, but it is SOMETHING. I feel that this is step one. If it does not work then step two will be CH.13 or settlement. But, we need to make a go of it. I have not signed off on the DMP yet. I am going to see if calling creditors myself can help us do the same thing for less fees. A five year plan will cost us $3,050 in fees at the end of five years.
