Penfed American Express Card?

I just logged into my Penfed account and saw a button to apply for a Penfed Amex card.

 

Has anyone applied? I am thinking of asking they convert my Cash Rewards Visa to the new Amex card

Just applied for it. We'll see how it goes. Already have Plat Rewards and auto loan with them.

 

I have the Platinum Rewards VISA and an auto loan, as well. Debating whether to burn an EQ inquiry on a CLI request for the VISA (thus avoiding a new account) or applying for the AMEX.

 

I have added 3 new accounts (Ameriprise WEMC and USAAx2 -- AMEX and VISA) in the last couple of months, so I may opt for a CLI request now and an AMEX app in a few months.

(3 to 5 cards won't prevent losing 2 or 3 more cards)

But I wonder if you could just spin-off like $5,000 of the $15,000 for a $5,000 account (NO HARD)

 

NO APPLICATION

 

NO CHANCE OF SAYING DENIED

 

(even though they couldn't deny me for 1 or 2 HARDS...since I have zero)
