post-thanksgiving travel to LAS

Figured out how to get my travel out there in, miss a minimal number of days and still have time for the multiple returns to NOLA between now and the end of the year...

 

I'll be out there for four days, flying out on the Friday morning following the holiday. Only a three-night stay, but since SPG gives me a late check-out, I can keep the room until roughly 4PM on Monday, play some more poker, get back to LAS for the midnight flight home (and back in the office Tuesday AM).

 

And...to boot, there just happened to be a WPT event kicking off at Bellagio that weekend, so hopefully the cash games will be exceptionally juicy since that will just be a quick walk across the street...

Wondering how come, you go to NOLA and LAS, but not out to Atl City or any of the boats out this way?

You prefer those?

I thought the Horseshoe near LOU was pretty good.

Well, NOLA has food too Not to mention a property across the street from the casino and basically next door to the Quarter that I can use points at...

 

The return to LAS so quickly after the first-ever trip was hastened by three comped nights. But for those, I doubt I would be heading back so soon after the last trip...at least this flight is direct and does not have the lay-over in PHX.

 

AC tends to be one of those places that isn't as cheap to get to from AUS...and, while I am sure that they have their fair share of fish-a-licious tables, NOLA has been gravy. What I need to have occur is for cheap airfare to AC show up during lobster season so I can coordinate a lobster run with a poker run

 

Never really been a fan of the boats...give me a large land-based structure any day of the week. Oh, and a map or GPS if I ever get back inside at Foxwoods

Years ago, I used to drive over to Shreveport (when I was north and east of Houston) after work and play craps until about 2-3AM and then come back to go to work. Have not been over there in close to 15 years... The one stop I made at Lake Charles was uber-disappointing. It sucked on so many levels...it was also one of the days where I think they were trying to find the people who would ultimately be photographed for the People of Dumpmart website.

Quick FYI for the Vegas peeps...yeah, that means you Hege

 

Looking at the 10-day forecast (yes, I know they are not anywhere close to reliable this far out but they give a good range to work with), they are estimating lows next weekend of 38-40 and highs in the low 60's. Is there much wind that comes with the cooler temps or is a lightweight hoodie going to be good enough for walking across the street between PlanetHo and the Bellagio or to other points on the Strip?
