I really like it.

My bill is expensive though. It's $99.00 per month and I only have 450 minutes.

You get free nights/weekends/mobile2mobile and I have 1000 texts so I don't go over my minutes but it's still expensive.

I really like all of the applications. My favorite is facebook.

Service is crappy. Call quality is pretty crappy. It's expensive as all hell.... I have two phones on our plan, and my bill is never, ever under $175.

That said. I don't know what I'd do without it. The apps, the maps.... As a toy, it's great. As a phone? Meh.

I don't have an iPhone but I've had AT&T for years and am very pleased with the service. Where I normally live, the service is exceptional.

I have 4 phones on my plan (2 are iPhones, 1 with text plan, 1 with nada) bill is just over $200 after taxes. We have about a katrillion roll over minutes. We all text..

Service? Meh.

As Gal said, LOVELY as a toy.

Agree with others...as a toy, love it. Love having the combined phone and ipod.

Service....blah. Of course, service in my area is compromised because AT&T only has access to 1 of the 2 frequencies (I forget whether its 800 or 1950, but while in a lot of places AT&T has access to both, in my area they only have access to 1).

Call quality...blah...

As for actual PHONE conversations, I miss my Motorola.

I'm lucky that I have a corporate discount on my plan, so for 450 minutes/month + data + 200 texts, my bill is about $66/month.

Iphone=Blah.

Going back to blackberry wants ATT gets the 9700 out! Canes, it had better be soon! lol.

I don't like how the speaker isn't really loud. It's fun to play with though. I hear echoing a lot while I use it when I talk to my friend who has Tmobile. :(

I have always like ATT service though.

Cost = I don't know (work takes care of it)

Call quality = Meh at best (quiet), crappy at worst (echoy, spotty)

Service = Of course zero bars at my house and major stretches on the highway on my way to work

Apps = great

No, I'm not a Verizon customer either. I am a complete AT&T hater tho! <_<

If you're living in that large white area, you've got bigger issues than 3G coverage.

I am completely confused as to why anyone would pay $100-200 for Meh service. I mean ... WHY? There are plenty of "toys" out there that cost less and are just as cool.

Wow. <_<

I've had just about every provider out there. Meh is the best I can seem to get in my area

Yeah... the coverage does suck. I can't talk in my house, and there's stretches of PCH that I also have no coverage in. <_<

I am so ridiculously addicted to my phone. It's just sad :P

Yeah. That Verizon map is nice, red and all but I had nothing but poor reception and dropped calls with them. Traveled within the areas of SCal, NY, SC, NJ and home - TC and the same thing. With AT&T I've had nothing but great service - exact opposite of Verizon.

Call reception with Iphone is on par with my Blackberry Bold...

The iPhone on EDGE** is 100X better than any phone that Verizon offers on 3G.

And out of all the areas I've lived, AT&T has consistently had better service than anyone else.

(which is all that non-3G means - those white areas likely have EDGE; it doesn't necessarily mean NO SERVICE)

3G service is not available where I work, and it is spotty where I live. Whats the point of a smartphone if it takes forever to use applications?

If the ATT network could actually support the device it would be awesome!

I dunno... I was at a side-by-side comparison of an Iphone 3GS, a Motorola Droid, and an HTC Touch Pro 2. Network

response was *way* faster on the Droid (Verizon) than on the Iphone (AT&T) or HTC (T-Mobile). This is in the San

Francisco area, which is pretty much uber-saturated as far as 3G networks goes. Call sound quality was also best

of all on the Droid. If I were to buy a new phone right now, I'd probably lean towards the Droid, but I don't know

if it's worth the extra $30 a month for the data plan it requires.

I know Android Market has only 10,000 Apps currently to the 100,000 on the Iphone store, but I've also seen a

LOT of the apps for the Iphone, and I wouldn't be surprised if half of them are pure crap (like an app to make

fart sounds, another to make a virtual Zippo lighter, etc). Not quite as much flotsam on the Android market yet,

but I'm sure it will come if the Android phones catch on, and with more and more manufacturers offering them,

it just may.

H works at VZW. Said a dude came in Friday to go from an iPhone to the Droid.

There ya go. Reason number 96 not to like him.

Iphone works perfectly at work on 3g and even better at home with my WIFI. Its response sure beats anything Verizon had to offer me except for that 100 dollar roaming bill for my sons room when I canceled the service within 14 days.

I have had VZW for 5 years, for DW. I will be porting my number to AT&T once the Iphone arrives. I live in major city so coverage is not an issue. Also, we travel internationally about once a year or so having wifi is nice since I usually bring my wireless router when we travel. Until recently verizon did not offer any phones with wifi, gotta keep their profits up.

DW will still have her BB with VZW as most of her family has VZW. Mine has AT&T, so it seems like it makes sense.
