Just wanted to see what others do besides credit repair

I love to build model sailing ships.

Just finished a 1670 Spanish galleon called the San Francisco, took over 200 hours to build.

I guess I don't really have any hobbies anymore. Used to be fitness and running, but now I'm a lazy slob. I like to work on my car a lot, but that is quite expensive.

Is internet a hobby?

Nice aquarium. Yeah apt living is not really conducive to keeping a reef tank. We've had a 150 for the last 4 years.

We are going to be tearing it down and starting over some day. I need a break right now. Quite a bit to it and very very time consuming. I also didn't care for having to hire someone to care for it when we went away (no neighbors that have a clue and/or no family close)....

Now isn't a good time to sell the setup though for sure.

Cross stitch? WOW - beautiful. NOT for me though - I have little to no patience for it and will gladly pay someone else to do it <_< but good for you -- they are beautiful.

The ship building is cool!

I cross stitch. There's a lot of hours involved.

that looks like a hardanger, right? man, my eyes would cross if I stayed with this project all day long! LOL

I can handle a 16, 18 count...but 22? nah.

love your stitchwork!

Nope, nothing but straight x-stitching with a few fractional stitches in the hands and face (which are 1 over one instead of 2 over 2 - UGH!). All done 2 over 2 on 28. My mom refuses to work on anything but 14 count aida, but I love the depth you get with a higher count.

I have to look for those patterns for you.

right before my work transfered me I was starting a 240 gal inwall reef tank. spent about 8,000 and had to sell everything when I was transferred. took a big loss on that got about half back.

their is alot of work. and you just dont want to trust anybody to look after it when your away.

240 in wall --- Nice! 8k? You were just getting started weren't ya?.... we've got over 10 in this one.

Resale suks big time but you can't really look at it like that -- for that hobby you can't keep up with what you've spent because if you do you will get sick....

awesomeness is a hobby?...... now that's interesting.... LOL

Ladybug! LOVE. I enjoy cross stitch - I can totally get into a zone. I need a new project - I'm lazy and just buy the kits with all the correct floss already in them. :)

My hobbies...reading, horseback riding, Facebook. There's lots of other stuff I like to do - watch football, indulge DH's geekisms, and so on - but nothing I'm emotionally/financially invested enough in to call a real hobby.
