That’s a good thing. It sucks saving 5k for a vacation just to find out you only have 2.3k there and an average lunch in town cost 35 Euros.

I have never been to a country where their currency is worth more than ours.

People travel to other countries without having looked at currency exchange rates beforehand? Who knew...

Our dollar is going to continue to decline relative to other countries even the pound wont suffer such declines even though they have practiced quantitative easing to a greater degree than our Fed. Another example is my family are all in Australia and PPP at equilibrium is 1.66 and now thier dollar is trading at 1.1 so its that much more expensive for me to visit them now than it is for them to come here. Compare this to March 2009 when it was trading at 1.5 due to investors worldwide placing all thier assets in our dollar in the so called flight to safety.

LOL

moreover, "worth more than ours" is not a valid concept since by definition an exchange rate is simple a price of one currency in terms of another.

But they have lots of COs and need to jack APRs to make up for them.

Giving 100k miles to a new customer is no problem though.

They certainly got MY attention. :(

I knew Kona program will never work for you. ;)

Go for 50k! IIRC, you have a Chase card with 100k limit? if so, ask them to match it! :P

I DID say Kona, MAYBE. :(

I'm not real confident since Chase has denied me in the past for too many inquiries.
