Why did our tiny little post office hire this snot nosed twit that we have now as of a month ago?

 

I go in there to pay for our PO Box's annual fee and there is a new woman there. I told her what I was there for and hand her our debit card and she looked at it and said this is a man's debit card. I said oh, I grabbed my dh's debit he must have mine, here is my driver's license and here look at our checkbook, see both our names on there? See how it matches the debit card bank?

 

She looked at me and said I am not accepting this because I don't know that you are who you say you are. I said look at the driver's license! Do you see my pic? Look! She said that is not proof. I was like wtf. I got pissed and said does that fact that I have lived here for 15 years and have had the same PO Box for 15 years and the fact that all I am doing here is paying for my PO Box? We aren't in Buffalo, we are in the middle of nowhere. Nobody else is going to come into this post office to try and pay for my and my dh's po box, but if there is you are free to let them do it.

 

She just looked at me. So I cut her a check, the check with my and dh's name on it.

 

She was showing off and nothing else. Yes, I know technically she was being "careful" but I know she knew who I was, and that I was legit, she just had a little power trip going on.
