Triwest refund

Okay I got home today and there was a check in my mail box for $479.17 from Triwest. Apparently I've been paying premiums for two years that I wasn't supposed to be paying. Here's the deal...I have Medicare and Triwest as my insurance providers. Apparently because I am already paying for Medicare part B then I'm not supposed to pay for Triwest. Nobody ever told me that! I was very happy to get the check though. If anyone else is in the same situation with Medicare part B and Triwest then you may want to give Triwest a call.

WOW! I am surprised they caught their error and it was in your favor. Thanks for passing this along.

 

DH has Medicare part B and yes...we pay a REDUCED premium for the family but we are in a different region. I am not sure if it's free for the military member only, but that's what I am guessing.

I think that it is just for the military member because they are already paying for Medicare part B. I was very suprised to get the check-hopefully I won't have to pay ever again...We'll see next October.
