answered the phone......talked to a rep.

we are 120 days late on two accounts.

they talked payment plans....no go.....

I said I'd love to make it go away.......

he said write a hardship letter and make an offer for settlement.

is this the way it normally goes???

he said a lump sum is the best....they have an approved scale from Amex.

Thoughts??? is this a trap? i thought the OC made offers not the debt ower.

I am off to google pay for delete letters.....

but want some thoughts?

if i do this.......what should I offer? any specific wording that needs to be in the letter?

he said to fax----but I think i prefer mail since i don't have a private fax machine.

I;m shaking........im such a newbie at this........
