I finally was adding up all my bills I owe (ones sent to CA's and current ones).

The figure is scary, around $54,000

Not all of the debts show up on my CRA.

It seems like there is always offers to give you a "debt consolidation loan" of course you try to get one and your credit isnt good enough to get one.

If I where able to get a "dlc" for the amount above (maybe less I am one for trying to get people I owe to knock off late charges etc, which paying them full they might be willing to do that), I am evan one for hey I can only use that money to pay these bills (say you have the bank print out all the checks to the people you want to pay, less work for me) to show the bank you are truely using that money to pay these bills off.

Evan paying off the $54.000 in five years would be faster then I am trying to pay them off now, with interest etc.

I did a few years ago went ot my CU, had a list of ALL my bills I owed and the interest and my payements and showed them evan if my CU charged me a 18 percent interest rate, the payment I would make to them was less then I was making to all my creditors at that time and would be paid off faster in five years.

I am sure they look at your CR and say they have crappy credit why should we trust them.

What is more frustating the bills I am current on and have been for years are still listed under negative because of a 30 day late back in 2005 or 2006. The majority of my bad credit is medical bills.

I dont think there is anywhere that will give you a "dlc" for the amount I have above, but as I said not all of those bills in there are on my CRA, I would be happy to pay what is on my CRA (if I truely owe them and for the amounts I truely owe).

For example BOA is on there (used for medical bills mainly) but I have had probably $2000 worth of fees added on it.

Sigh

Wells Fargo keeps sending me flyers and emails to try their "dlc" but I am sure if I did all I would get is no no no. Wonder if a co-signer would help? I think my mom would if she knew it would be helpful, but I wouldnt want her to sign unless I knew for sure it would be helpful for me to have it.

I have three places try to garnish me (two for medical bills and one for taxes, I think I got the tax people to hold off I have been making payments to them they just want more money).

Thanks for listening to me vent.

I seperated my debt thought it would help get a idea on where I am at.

Medical Bills: $8057.00

Credit Cards: $12820.00

Loans: $20716.00 (about $13,000 is a school loan)

Misc: $6648.00

Now some of these added in I am current on just decided to add up all my bills. Some I am sure I dont owe what they are saying but I just went with what was down.

I am still thinking of talking to Balance at least on some of the medical bills they are the ones wanting to garnish.

I wish I knew what I know now about 5 years ago...sigh.

Look this isn't easy and the preventive info won't help, you're already in it, but don't make the mistake of thinking your neck deep, you aren't, you're about mid-chest deep. The old cliche answers may not be exciting but its true, you need to cut spending and increase income.

Plug away and make payments, the medical collections need to be addressed, can you contact the OC for these and see if they will take them back?

That is my first thing to work on the medical, so far no OC's will take them back, they are local CA's that they turn them into and if they take them back the CA will sue them. I know which CA's they are talking about because my boss has used them once (dont shoot me I only did what I was told) but he did take one back out one time and we had to pay the CA what they would have got (the 40 percent).

I have two major CA's I am working with, one is letting me pay what I can the other not so much.

and I know some the debt maybe SOL and some I know I dont owe what they are saying.

Ist step for me to see what debt I owe.

I did a DCL 2 years ago and it ruined my finances. I consolidated everything ($22K) and was to pay $504 a month for 8 years.

Well MBNA/BOA lied to me on the phone. I was stupid and did not read all the fine print. This Gold Loan they gave me was a line of credit, not an installment loan like a car payment as I was lead to believe. I have been paying for 2 years and the balance has gone down less than $2000. On top of it, they just raised the minimum (almost double) and now I can't afford to pay it.

DON'T DO IT!
