Why Was I Banned From Walmart For Not Showing My Receipt?

I have a bigger problem with the ID check and being asked to sign something than being banned.

yah banning from that store would not bother me. the thug-like loss prevention folks who seem to think they are LEO needs to end.

If BANNED from Wal-mart, that simply means that the money I would possibly spend there is going to other retailers.

It matters not if you committed an offense prior to the warning/banishment...if you are told to leave the premises and to not return, yet you DO return, you have committed the offense of criminal trespass.

All of these problems would be avoided if the person would have just handed the little old lady the receipts.

Being asked to show your property that was in full display at the register is not an invasion of your privacy.

Let these folks do their jobs, and quit being a jerk. Getting all huffy over such a trivial exchange is a waste of time.

My walmart asks for recipts for unbagged items, so the cashiers leave items like milk and detergent unbagged. It is so irritating. I ask my cashier to bag all my items. If I have bagged items in my cart, i will not show my reciept. If the only item I bought is too big to be bagged, I will show the reciept begrudgingly. I think the process is paving the way for illegal search and seizure laws to be repealed, and conditioning us to accept a police state.

even if one accepts that it is not an invasion of privacy, receipt-checking less than thirty feet from the register you just checked out at is an incredible waste of the customer's time. Invariably, the stores with the door nazis tend to have one or two people waiting to show a receipt...and THAT means wasting time that does not need to be wasted standing in line.

I don't show receipt simply because I am not a thief. if a retailer wants to prove otherwise, they better know the law.
