Paid Medical Collection

Hi there,

I am new to this forum. When i pulled my report i noticed two collections were reported on my report by Experian only.

First One:

Date Opened: 09/2008

Date of Status: 03/2009

Reported Since: 11/2008

Last Reported Date: 03/2009

Status: Paid,Closed.

 

Other one:

Status: Paid,Closed.

Date Opened: 10/2008

Date of Status: 01/2009

Reported Since: 12/2008

Last Reported Date: 01/2009

 

I have opted out and disputed one address which was wrong. What do you recommend in my case.

Just wanted to clarify that i paid to balance to CA because at that time i did not know that they have reported to CRA.

 

In this should i still use the PreHIPPA because i read somewhere that it will not work if collection is paid to Collection Agency.

 

Please advice.

It may work, but the ONLY part of the HIPAA program you can use is the "pre-HIPAA" and the medical DV for accounts reporting as "paid". You can NOT use any part of the HIPAA letter program that relates to the OC.

Great News.

I finally received updated credit report from Experian. On reports it says both accounts as deleted. Also pulled the credit report to verify and there is not more CO on my credit report.
