Thank you for your service and sacrifices, Jack. We have a part-time roommate who lives with us off and on, but he's from Michigan as well. His Purple Heart plates were free IIRC.

 

Here in Virginia we pay LOADS of money to register our cars, plates, taxes, etc. I can't wait to move from this veteran UNfriendly state! One of the main considerations of where we move is to find which state has the most veteran benefits for our needs. I petitioned our local mayor to adopt the state code for tax breaks for disabled vets. They will start that benefit next year, thankfully!
