I contacted telecheck today regarding two accounts listed on chexsystems.

 

I told the rep that i would be able to pay in full to both accounts and she said that I would be removed from chex and will be able to open up an a bank account.

 

Is she correct? From what i thought only the bank can ask for the removal of any entries to chexsystems.

 

Also, isnt chex a different company from telecheck?

paying off the debt will remove a negative from telecheck but will not remove you from chexsystems ... chexsystems will not remove you unless the reporting bank tells them to. Telling you that paying it off will remove you is a lie. If youa re going to negotiate payment for removal make sure you get it in writing. How old are your reports?

I have an account with COmerica Bank. I have sent them a letter re. this and paying them etc.

 

When I didnt get a response I called them and they told me what Im telling you. Who should I contact regarding this? Does anybody know if Comerica is willing to take me off Chex?

I have never heard of Comerica being wiling to delete from chexsystems
