Open at a branch ONLY. It has been reported that Regions Bank is not using chexsystems. Further discussion with

a branch manager who was telling a member of our forum that Regions stopped using chexsystems because of the economy and job loss, and that the bank was losing money turning customers down, he did explain that if in the future they start using chexsystems again that accounts would be ok as long as good account history is kept. They are also offering business accounts as well.

 

For those who can get to a branch this is a good chance, before they use chexsystems again.

well it looks as if we all may have got too excited too soon. So far one person has reported to me that they were approved a savings while being denied a checking at Regions. Another person went to make a deposit and was unable to being told that their account was being closed due to chexsystems.
