NELNET- Anyone have luck with GW letter or Backdating?

Anyone one have any luck with a GW letter to remove some lates? Or backdating? I was late in January 09 and December 08 and they deferred me starting from 10/2008 to 10/2009.

curious on this answer too. i used deferment to hopefully avoid lates. i backdated it- so we'll see.

Unless the retroactive deferment was in-school or grad fellowship, they won't change the reporting. The only reason FFELP lenders may change reporting in those cases is because guidance from the Department of Education says it permissible.

 

Otherwise they're required, per federal regulations, to accurately report delinquencies over 90 days.
