That is what I was thinking.... They might get paranoid if it was a big purchase and your 1st one etc.

It wasnt my first purchase. The computer was 2199. The letter I got says they did a periodic account review and didnt like what they saw on my Transunion report. They pulled Equifax when I applied which was 774 fico. My Transunion fico is 692. Bah!!! An old chargeoff is still haunting me!

Did they send you a letter telling you they were decreasing your limit or was it just noted online. I apologize for asking what may seem like a dim question, but are you sure it wasn't just your available credit was 2900? If the PC was 2100, that deducted from your 5K limit would leave you about 2900 as available credit.

No, they are Knocking down limits when you make even a few hundred dollar purchase. Hell, mine went in HALF for simply a $400 dollar purchase. Same crap letter received. This is NOT worth dealing with........

I went to the grocery store over the weekend and spent my normal $250'ish and I haven't had an issue.
