So recently I got a checkings account with Citizens Bank even though Im on chexsystem from both citizens bank and bank of america, the teller told me when I was paying them off my balance that I can open a new checkings account as long as I dont owe no bank. So I tried it and I got my temporary checks and card number that day. Week later I got my debit card. I read a sign that says they do check people for chexsystems and equifax but as long as you dont owe any bank at the time you should be fine and my credit is no good so that should not deny you of a checkings account either. So for those who having trouble finding a bank that will sign them up under chexsystem check out Citizens Bank.

Citizens is a tricky bank and I really would not trust it if you have been reported to chexsystems. Some have got accounts with them over the years and others have not been as lucky, Then there are the ones that were able to open accounts and later the accounts were closed. Always consider a second account just in case when using a bank that uses chexsystems

I would not trust them Citizens bank anyway... there loss prevention will close you down. the managers at banks get a bonus for signing up so many "new accounts" So they will in deed bypass some negatives on Chex's but later the back office will deny you.

Good luck

God with US or Bank of America or NFCU even USAA and ING direct if you have good credit.
