 Walmart money card, Can it be used for a cash advance |

My husband does not have direct deposit and his local bank account just got closed. He is in chexsystems and telecheck. We have to transfer his paycheck to my USAA account. We use to do this via a cash advance using the visa logo with his SunTrust account. If he cashes his paycheck at Walmart and puts funds on the card, can we do a cash advance, using the visa logo?

Yes you can get cash advances with the Walmart Money Card. Also cash advances with the Green Dot Card and the Western Union Debit Card.

... I get a call today around 6pm from a woman who is a fraud and anti money laundering investigator. I guess this is VERY serious now. Anywho, she finally tells me what is going on. Basically the problem stems from Wachovia, DH's bank. I'm not sure who initiated contact between the two banks but apparently someone got suspicious of all the cash advances. I'm not on DH's accounts at Wachovia and he is not on my accounts at USAA. So it looks like the transactions might be "unauthorized." Anywho, she says that if DH contacts her directly, even though she can't talk to him about my account, and tells her that the transactions are authorized by him then she will unfreeze my accounts. Well, I guess so, because I did this every since they stopped doing the instant checking account advances. For the past few weeks we have used quick collect from western union but that is getting expensive. |

Using my PIN and my Walmart Money Card, I can get cash out of any ATM 24/7. The limits are those of the ATM, and the total cash in the card.
