I got a copy of my Chex report, and it shows a US Bank baddie reported on April 11, 2006. Is the drop off close to or exactly 3 years? Any chance of a dispute ripping it out of the jaws of Chex before that date?

I have a good checking account, but I am simply trying to get it gone as soon as possible.

Chex is 5 years. If I may ask, was it also reported on your cra's?

Thanks and good luck if you do dispute.

No, it was not reported on my CR, thankfully. I somehow thought it was only three years--in my dreams I guess.

I have a US bank acct on CHEX, that went south in 2005. It's also on my CR. In 2010, when this falls off CHEX, Can it be removed from my CR?

It will not fall off your CR for 7 years. Chexsystems has the right to report for 7 years but they choose to remove after 5

Sorry, maybe I was not clear. There is nothing on my CR about this, I am asking about the Chex entry on my Chex report. It sounds like the entry will be deleted automatically from Chex, as the above poster mentioned, after five years.

That is correct. Items on Chex only remain for 5 years
