I am in!

I have ...errr... 15-20 pounds to lose in all. I have been using SparkPeople.com to track my fitness, nutrition, etc. for free. I fell off that wagon a few months ago but hope to get back on next month. I was supposed to be on target to have ALL my weight off by February 2009 so perhaps I can still reach that goal.

Hey! New thread - woo!

I STILL would like to lose in the neighborhood of 100-120 pounds. Same as last year, sigh. B)

I am kicking off 2009 by making my kitchen a well stocked, enjoyable workspace instead of an overcrowded mess. I enjoy eating whole foods and I enjoy cooking, it's just hard to get motivated to do so when you first have to spend 20 minutes clearing enough counter space to work on.

I agree about making the kitchen a more pleasant area to cook in. I like this idea!

You know I'm down!!!

I still want to chuck about 15 pounds off my carcass before I call it a day. I was able to eat what I wanted on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, but even so, I didn't go crazy. Yesterday morning, I weighed in to see that I'd gained back two pounds, but since that was really water weight, it fell back off with a day of sensible low-sodium eating, and this morning those two pounds were gone.

Onward!!!

I have about 35-45 MORE I want to lose...so far down 36 lbs.

However, I may need lap band surgery after my mom and dad leave for the holidays. My Lord, she has baked homemade German Chocolate Cake, Pecan Pies, Chocolate Pudding Cake, Dressing,...etc and she uses real everything. Enough butter to float a ship and sink me.

I am in.

I am going to see if my gym will let my dd come with me, its only 5 or 10 bucks to add her to my membership.

This year though I still start with a few goals and add on more as I go.

First few are

Getting back to the gym and cutting out fast food (it has been a bad lunch choice lately).

I want to stop drinking pop but that I will have to wean down, the headaches are killer when going cold turkey.

So a few goals to start.

I probably still have between 15 & 20 lbs left to lose. I know I can do it. 2008 was already a blockbuster year and I'm sure 2009 will just put the icing on the cake.

Starting the new year off with ChaLEAN Extreme. Still working on the food thing. Not sure what I'll be using for that but I'll figure it out.

Good luck everyone!! :)

I lost just over 60 pounds from August 2007 to the end of 2008. I have hit a plateau so need to get working hard again. I still need to lose another 40 pounds.

My 19 year old son (soon to be 20) has really gained weight and I know it is hurting his self esteem. I sat down with him the other day and had a long talk. He needs to lose at least 60 pounds. He won't tell me what he weighs but I am pretty sure it is more than me, and he is three inches shorter. I went over the basic nutrition info, cutting back on food, and exercise. We agreed to discuss nutrition tips and exercise each day. He has agreed to work with me on weight loss for 2009. I need to find some good lunches for him to take to school. He will be getting up at 6:30, eating breakfast, then going to school (about a 45 minute drive) for his first class at 8:00. He has a break from about 10 to 11:15, then two more classes until about 1:15 He should be home by 2:30. So I need to find something healthy for him for the mid morning snack and for when classes end before the drive home. Any suggestions are appreciated. I have suggested fruits or low fat granola bars. Last semester he took three PBJ sandwiches for his lunch. And he had three PBJ sandwiches before he left for school.

We are also doing exercise together every day. I exercise on my own every morning. It sure is tough when you get older. I did get my blood pressure and cholesteral under control. We are doing healthy meals every night and I got my son to eat oatmeal and fruit in the morning (instead of a huge bowl of sugery cereal).

We are not doing diet pills or a specific diet. The basic method I used was to cut back on how much I eat; eat better food, and exercise.

I would be interested in any low fat, low calorie dinners that are easy to prepare.

I actually do not have a weight loss goal this year

2008 is ending very well for me. I will end the year under 120 pounds (my peak weight is always Dec/Jan) so I'm happy.

My only weight "goal" for 2009 is to continue eating healthy and continue to exercise.

I'm in!!

I've been roughly off the plan for the past couple of weeks - I've seen a 4 pound gain over those 2 weeks. Today, one of them was gone because I was perfectly on plan.

I still have plenty to lose, but will start with finishing that first 25 by the end of January. Which is about 15 lbs away.

Lost (and by lost I by no stretch mean I *miss* them) 10.25lbs in December....122 to go! 2009 is MY YEAR! ;)

Also want to point out that my hounds tooth skirt fits again! Hell yea! I will be wearing that baby to my next interview!

That is the *only* sad part about weight loss...wont be able to hold onto the gorgeous skirt for long...Oh well! NEW skirts await!

Oh! And I use Spark People. We should have a CB group on there!

I'm back in...

Fell off the plan and had a hard as heck time getting back on, but going clothes shopping today and seeing all those skinny chicks buy right off the rack got me going.

Tomorrow is food shopping day - and printing off menus day..

I am right now at 195, and want to get to 135/140 soon.. Then I can reevaluate...
