I found the part of their website dealing with membership, but a person would have to sift through their list of about one billion organizations/service groups.

So I'm hoping that someone on this board knows if there is a particular group that anyone and everyone is eligible to join.

ohmy.gif Thank you! I guess I need to work on being a more optimistic person; I thought, well, the best I can expect is two ways to get in.. and here are four suggestions!

Question: ASIS .. On Redstone's list you're referring to "NORTH ALABAMA CHAPTER ASIS INTERNATIONAL (Members Only) (Alabama)" ?

I googled that to identify that. American Society for Industrial Security ?
American Society for Information Science and Technology (AzASIS&T) ?

It'll be at least six months to a year before I'm in a position to apply for anything. But I promise to be a guinea pig for this. With where I expect my spending to be for awhile, this cash back card seems like it would work better for me than NASA's 2% cash back card.

And unless I'm overlooking something, it looks the platinum visa, gold visa, and gold mc are all cash back cards. So the APR is only 7.75 - 8.74% ! https://www.redfcu.org/scripts/rates.pl?you...tes_creditcards

Edited to add:
Here is some additional background information about this credit union http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Redstone_Federal_Credit_Union

I joined a while back in person...but haven't applied for any credit products of yet, they are one of my 'back pocket' CU's..this is as much information as I gleaned from the CSR person that opened my acct...my understanding is they will ask for W-2/income verification
