YIPEE! Approved for B of A checking account

I have an account with Chase Bank, just recently went from Access checking account (kind of second chance) to Regular Checking account. No negeatives, no problems for 1 year. Opened a second account last November with my son (local Texas bank) and I AM THE ONE who screwed up the account in July.....they closed the account. Overdrawn by $92 before they added the $172 in fees! Couldn't repay.....became unemployed during this time

 

anywho, I don't like having one bank account. I took a chance and started to apply online with Bank of America. The CHAT LIVE screen came up and I asked the account person if I would be denied since I had an account that was closed recently but also had an account in good standing with another bank. His response was "can't say for sure, but almost everyone gets approved." So I apply with me and my son and I wait....then came the email about 36 hours later..YIPPEEEE!!! I was approved. My checking account is open, I go into the branch and deposit $25 to official open the account and they have already mailed my two check cards...

 

Whew!!!! Moral of the story, JUST TRY with BofA....

 

sorry for the long post.....but I AM HAPPY!!!

 

forgot to ask if there are limitations on the account?????? anyone know?????

-Most everyone people reported to chexsystems have been able to get accounts with Bank of America. The only catch is that you MUST APPLY ONLINE ONLY! Many that go into a branch to apply are denied but later apply online and are approved. If your report is recent they may decline you. If you owe Bank of America money from an old account, they may open the account but close it at a later time.

 

*** They also offer business accounts and it has been reported that they will only run the Corporation or the LLC through chexsystems not the signer *** Again it is best to apply online

Hope it stays open. I have NEVER had an account with BofA. the other bank account (that I screwed up...was closed last week in September.)

yes, do the same and apply online for the business account. Most are being approved as well.

Well, I guess I have to get a business really quick then, however, I do transcriptionword periodically from home, but don't use a business name; checks are made payable to me personally, not a company. Hmm..what now?

 

I want a business account and a credit card,(HAVE ABSOLUTELY NONE) but JUST got approved for their checking account. Won't this look odd to them????

your business account would be considered a sole proprieter and they would for sure run that with chexsystems, so personally I would nto apply and take any chances that you might lose your personal account

I think I will leave well enough alone and just stick with the personal account with BofA. If need be, I will just open up a THIRD account (business purposes only) with another bank.

 

I really want a business credit card....(sighhhhh)
