Chexsystem, WAmu & B0A

My fiancée and I had a checking account opened with B0A they sent us to chexsystem because of "Account Abuse" for like $167.00.

I ordered my report from chexsystem and received it. sure enough I'm on there twice .

 

I found on another site that wamu doesn't use chexsystem, so fiancée and i applied on line and when we clicked summit to see if we were approved we weren't and the reason was because of me and my chexsystem record. He applied alone and was approved ? but he is in chexsystem as-well. Just for the 167 with me. I am very confused as to why he got the account and I didn't.? should he wait a while before getting direct deposit to his account ?? I'm freaked that something might happen to the money.

 

I opened an account with fidelity ( thanks to your site) . I would open one for him but its just to far for him, to get to a branch.

 

I need advise as to how to proceed with this 167.00 that was sent to collection and getting it off chexsystem.

WAMU is a mess, do NOT trust the account. WAMU, Wells Fargo, and Wachovia are well known for opening account that they will alter close due to chexsystems. WAMU will perform random " sweeps" on accounts that are in good standing and if they find a chex report, they will close the account. Why do they open the account at all? I have no idea. salamanders!

 

If you are going to keep the account open and see what happens, do not set up direct deposit and do not have all your money tied up in this account. I have had some people that were able to open an account that was opened for over a year and they were in good standing and yet WAMU still closed the account.

 

You can definitely dispute your chexsystems report and also dispute with the bank as well. I can tell you that it is very difficult to be removed with Bank of America being the reporting bank.

So you Think I shouldn't Pay the Collection Account ? or should I dispute it. I'm going to call the B0A ..They've dipped in my Savings account twice to take out money for there collections account so now what I have left to pay its the hundred something...

 

I'm a total nut-case right now.. very confused!
