I'm a part of Penfed and my local credit union. Are there any others that are easy to join without strict restrictions (i.e. location)?
I saw Nasa, but it seems they pull all 3 CRAs.

patelco - soft ex for savings - hard ex for cc - not sure about checking
alliant - hard eq for anything - membership, savings, cc etc... |

most of them don't require anything, or at least the ones in my area.. what are they making you do, or have? location what do you mean by that?

NASA only pull EQ.
However, when applying for a loan, they will pull EX. |
