Hello all, I just want to say that thus far TABBANK (Transportation Alliance Bank) has been the easiest account to open (one page faxed application) to open, and most trouble free checking account I have had thus far in my life. (even when I was not in Chex like I am now) The customer service and the website functions and features are really good and secure, and the ability to make remote deposits, online bill pay, and some if not the lowest fee's on items I have seen on a checking account to me makes them a all around winner. Do not waste another second "trying" to get a account, somewhere and explain chex blah blah, go get a account here and be done with it! Do it now. Nothing but good experience thus far.

yes TAB is a great bank that does use chexsystems but is NOT using it at this time. So this is definitely one that you may want to get while you still can

no, anyone can get an account at this bank ...they do use chexsystems but they are not at this time

 

TAB is a great option out there right now and a favorite of those on chexsystems. This account is best when used with direct deposit. TAB is not using chexsystems at this time. I am not sure how long this window of opportunity will stay open. Please note that unless you are near a Flying J location, that all deposits have to be mailed in. This account is best to be used with direct deposit.

STEP 1 – Open An Account

To open an account with Transportation Alliance Bank, fill out an Application. Fill in the blanks, click the submit button, then print the page, sign it and mail or fax it to us so we can begin processing and opening your account. Once your account is open, you will have access to all of our bank’s services, including FREE online banking, Online Bill Pay, 24-hour automated telephone banking, and Flying J discounts and rebates.

STEP 2 – Fund Your Account

+ You can send money from an external bank account by wire. You will have same-day access to your money.

 

 

+ You can request money from an external bank account by ACH transfer, which you must set up before hand. You will have access to funds within two business days. 90 days after opening your account you can apply for Transportation Alliance Bank Express ACH , which gives you access to transferred funds within one business day.

 

 

+ You can also buy a Flying J gift card at any Flying J and call our customer service department to deposit that money into your account.

 

 

+ Or you can just mail in a check (with a deposit slip).

Once your account is funded, you can view your account balance information or make transfers anytime online or via our customer service department. When you receive your card, just call to activate it and begin using it anywhere MasterCard® is accepted. Cash can be withdrawn at any ATM where MasterCard® is accepted, including over 160 Transportation Alliance Bank ATMs conveniently located in Flying J Travel Plazas nationwide.

 

 

STEP 3 – Access Your Account

Setting up your Online Banking Account has never been so easy. Go to our homepage. On the Secure Login section in the top left corner of the page, you will see boxes for your User ID and Password. This is where you will enter that information, once you have set up your Online Banking Account. To set up your Online Banking Account click on the First Time User link below the User ID box. Then enter the requested information to verify your identity, and then choose a User ID and Password. Then use that User ID and Password to log into your account.

 

 

STEP 4 – Order Checks

To order checks for your account, just call our customer service department at 800-355-3063. A customer service representative will order your checks for you. You can go to www.Harland.net to see the different styles of checks you can order. The cost of checks, which varies depending on the style, start as low as $10 for 150 checks. Delivery takes about two weeks.

I have no idea what they pull. I know they used to use chexsystems but at this time they are not. But from what I can tell, NO ONE has ever reported back to me that they were denied.

When opening a checking account, they access information from your credit report to verify your identity, but it does not show up on any credit report. They don't use chexsystems.

 

However, if you are applying for a credit card through them, then they will do a hard pull.

This is still accurate yes other than I was recently told that they may start to charge a monthly fee on accounts. It is a debit mastercard

TAB is no longer an option ..they are now using chexsystems
