I was trying to make a revised check schedule, based on everyone's replies. Thought it would possibly cut down some of the confusion and frustration, as the only thing stimulated for me is my blood pressure. Some numbers have 2 separate dates, again I'm going by replies thus far on this thread.

00 - 09 5/9, 5/16
10 - 18 5/2
19 - 25 5/16
26 - 38 5/16
39 - 51
52 - 63 5/16
64 - 75
76 - 87
88 - 99 5/9, 5/16, 5/23

Please post last digits to help me fill in the blanks.

I wonder why so many on the 16th?

If anyone has new info, its very much appreciated....

Thanks!

Marlin - did you get that info off the website? We're still getting the error message and DH is 27 - I'm also expecting that we'll be getting a paper check. The 23rd would be great news to me since the posted schedule says our number should be 6/13!

Yes this is off the website and automated phone system. I did talk to a rep last week inquiring if it would be DD or mail and he stated it should have been DD because that's how we originally filed until we had to amend to get the rest of our refund because of the energy tax credit. That part came by check....

I just called the automated line since I'm still getting the error message. We are 27 and the line told me 6/6 for a paper check. We filed TurboTax back on Jan. 29th. I don't understand why it's coming so late since there seems to be alot of numbers higher than us that are getting checks this week! Oh well, no huge hurry I guess - it just would've been nice to pay off that darned CC this month rather than next wink.gif

I'm sorry to ask what is probably an obvious question, but you're saying that paper checks are being mailed that far ahead of the schedule published on the IRS website? I filed via TurboTax in January and our SSNs are 73 & 74; however, we had the fee deducted from our refund, so we're getting a paper check. They're really sending out paper checks for higher digit people as soon as this week? I wasn't expecting it til June 20 or 27th based on the IRS schedule online. I couldn't get the "Where's my stimulus?" tool to work.

I went through the replies from folks on here, and made a different chart. Based solely on when they said they were able to get a date from the IRS that the check would be sent, either via phone or online. YMMV

My last 2 are 52 and the site says my check will be SENT by 5/16. But the letter I got from them this week says I should HAVE IT by 5/16. Anyone here get a paper check yet? If so, how close to the date was it?

One thing to think about with us papercheckers that are due to receive on the 16th (tomorrow)... is the IRS actually putting the checks in the mail tomorrow (receiving Saturday/Monday at the latest), or are they going out today to be received tomorrow (Saturday at the latest). I'm not banking on mine actually being in my mailbox tomorrow, but it would be nice.

The way I understand it is that if you're waiting on a paper check, it should get in your mailbox by tomorrow (key word "should" smile.gif ). I'm just still irritated that I'm STILL getting an error message and I have a low number! Grrrrrr....

QUOTE
GARDEN CITY, N.Y. (AP) — About 1,500 tax rebate checks sent out by the IRS this month were wired to the bank accounts of people who already received their payments or others who were not entitled to the money.
The rebates, which are expected to reach 130 million households, range up to $600 for individuals and $1,200 for married couples, plus $300 a child for eligible parents. Congress approved the payments earlier this year as part of an economic stimulus initiative.

Newsday cited the example of a Long Island man who said he found an unexpected $1,800 in his bank account. The man told the newspaper he checked with his bank and found the deposit belonged to someone with a different Social Security number.

IRS spokesman Kevin McKeon acknowledged that about 1,500 payments nationwide went to wrong bank accounts. But he said the problem was dwarfed by the nearly 30 million stimulus payments totaling more than $27 billion that have been issued correctly.

"The IRS is working with taxpayers and banks on a case-by-case basis to resolve this issue as quickly as possible," McKeon said.

FIND MORE STORIES IN: Social Security | Long Island
Anyone receiving a misdirected IRS deposit is required to report the mistake to their bank, he said. Anyone who receives a paper check they are not entitled to must also return the money.

The gov't was so organized when they thought of this plan.

It said 15,000 at first, but must have been a typo on their site... that's a big difference but still pretty careless b/c who's going to be honest and send that money back to them dry.gif . I know I would because I'm a scaredy cat and wouldn't want the government after me, lol.
