Hey, I got this great idea. Keep the thread on topic....

Everyone else, shut it, take it to PM's or something else. Jesus, like a bunch of 12 year olds.

It is on Topic-it was addressed in a prior post as a question of why someone might need their stimulus more than others and its calculation method.

For the record, we filed in February, got the stimulus letter, were set up for a May 9 DD, and I am getting the we're sorry message on their website too. Not gonna worry about it until like May 12th, although I will be ticked if my new couch goes off sale before the check comes!

My wife has her eye on a new table at crate and barrel... Sadly they do not have many sales:( That's if the money ever gets here.

I can't say I'm desperate for the money, but i do plan to use every last nickel to pay off a cc. That will save me 60.00 a month on the payment and it'll save me 20.00 monthly on the interest payment. Thats about half of what I pay a month for milk alone, so yeah, the sooner it comes the better.

*edit* but why does that have any bearing on anything? You saying it should continue with a bunch of people fighting if its not a big deal? Then fine let it go that way. It was merely meant to be a constructive comment to get people to leave that subtopic alone and to focus on what this one is about.

I don't think it was much of a fight or very far off topic. I don't agree with what the "patient" folk were saying, but it's not a big deal either.

BTW- to keep it on topic..... I did not get my DD yet sad.gif

Well I didn't, I didn't they were doing deposits today because they were getting ready for the big one tomorrow. The link on the IRS' website doesn't work for me. Keeps giving me some sort of error message. It's weird to cause I know I entered my info correcetly. I filed in late Feb early March and so did my friend. She gets the error too, she filed her husbands on April 14th and the link says he'll get his tomorrow. I think it's weird. Oh well

I did, sorry I forgot to copy you on the memo.

Go ahead and rule with an iron fist Clarke, I don't mind. Then again the caveat to that is I am of no importance whatsoever. tongue.gif

Still no check for the Hamburglars. We are patiently waiting, sort of.

i have been informed not to expect any premature stimulation. lol

I was checking our account quite frequently as well as the irs website.

Well, talked to someone today and they said I will be stimulated BY CHECK next Friday (may 9th). I would like some premature stimulation but I think I am developing a disorder from the anticipation. The IRS also stated that since I filed the injured spouse form separately and not efile, that that is why we are getting a check mailed. I hope that by some piece of luck it is actually DD instead. lol. They said the same for the rebate as well. Oh and we get half of that since I am still in rehab for my student loans. They are putting half towards that (even though I didn't work last year) and sending us the other half.

But as much as I would have liked another grand, to be able to put to savings or whatnot, at least it's going towards my SL.

I filed injured spouse also, seperate from my e-filed return. Got the first part of my refund, noticed it was short, did the injured spouse and mailed it out. Didn't even take a month to get my $$ back, but that was by check. Guess mine will be mailed out also. Yours will be mailed out next Friday because of the ss#?????? If so mine will be in June some time

I filed 02-08, IRS website only gives me the generic message that others are getting. Then again, I am not supposed to be anxiously calling anyway smile.gif

I am so jealous you got your money back in less than a month. They got ours on Mar 19th according to them. I had one lady tell me it would take 14 wks. I was like whatever. The one guy last week said we would get it this week. Then the message on the website changed and I called the other day and that's when the woman said next Friday it would be mailed. She said the Rebate too would be mailed then. Technically we are in the last bit of numbers for SS so I don't know if she just said that or what. DH is 98. We orig efiled 2/4

I stimulated my mechanic's wallet today with half of my check for some minor repairs and maintenance. Figured making my car run better was a worthwhile use of my money.

I don't think all the deposits get sent all at once. It may be there later today. I am "62" and still waiting for the DD.

My SS# is in the 70's. I logged on to Navy today, whereby I noticed my DD is scheduled for 05/06/2008.

I am still not stimulated by all this - or at least my bank is not showing a pending deposit anyhow. I'm in the 70's as well, so I may not see mine til next week sometime. That's fine - it'll fall in like a payday bonus for me since I get paid next Friday as well...lol.
